Synthesis of Ru(III) and Rh(III) coordination compounds for supramolecular complexes with macrocyclic carriers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na syntézu a analytickou charakterizaci Ru(III) a strukturně analogických Rh(III) koordinačních sloučenin, které by mohly sloužit jako modelové látky pro NMR studium paramagnetických systémů a vhodní zástupci také jako stavební jednotky supramolekulárních inkluzních komplexů v kombinaci s vybranými skupinami makrocyklických sloučenin. Teoretická část obsahuje informace o chemické struktuře, způsobech syntézy a biologických vlastnostech nejvýznamnějších zástupců protinádorově aktivních koordinačních sloučenin ruthenia. Dále jsou uvedeny informace o dvou skupinách makrocyklických sloučenin kukurbit[n]urilech a cyklodextrinech a jejich potenciálu tvorby supramolekulárních host-guest inkluzních komplexů s vhodnými organickými molekulami. V experimentální části jsou popsány syntetické postupy přípravy Ru(III) a Rh(III) koordinačních sloučenin. Výsledky fyzikálně-chemické charakterizace připravených molekulárních a supramolekulárních produktů dostupnými analytickými metodami (RTG, NMR, ESI-MS) jsou uvedeny v kapitole Výsledky a diskuze.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the synthesis and analytical characterization of Ru(III) and structurally analogous Rh(III) coordination compounds which could be used as model compounds for NMR studies of paramagnetic systems and their suitable representatives could also be used as building units of supramolecular inclusion complexes in combination with selected groups of macrocyclic compounds. The Theoretical part contains information about chemical structures, methods of synthesis and biological properties of the most significant representatives of ruthenium coordination compounds with anticancer activity. The Theoretical part also contains information about two groups of macrocyclic compounds, cucurbit[n]urils and cyclodextrins, and their potential for formation of supramolecular host-guest inclusion complexes with suitable organic molecules. The Experimental part describes synthetic procedures of preparation of Ru(III) and Rh(III) coordination compounds. The results of physicochemical characterization of prepared molecular and supramolecular products by available analytical techniques (X-Ray, NMR, ESI-MS) are described in the Results and Discussion section.
