Audio-expertise and its use in criminalistics

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se bude zabývat oblastí audioexpertízy v kontextu kriminalistiky. Zaměřuje se na analýzu zvukových stop v současném soudním prostředí. Začíná obecným přehledem historického vývoje této metody, představuje základní pojmy a specifika audioexpertízy a zkoumá účel a objekty této disciplíny. Dále se zabývá významem audioexpertízy při odhalování a vyšetřování trestných činů, analyzuje schopnosti audioexpertízy a výzvy spojené s jejím prováděním. Část o metodách se pak zaměřuje na výběr objektů výzkumu, metody audioexpertízy a běžné chyby při jejím provádění. Důraz je kladen na potřebu neustálého rozvoje této oblasti vzhledem k rychlému technologickému pokroku a zvýšenému významu audiovizuálních důkazů v právním systému. Práce navrhuje, že investice do výzkumu, vzdělávání a odborné přípravy jsou nezbytné pro další pokrok v oblasti audioexpertízy a pro posílení důvěry ve spravedlnost a soudní procesy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis will focus on the field of audio and phonoscopic expertise in the context of forensic science. It examines the analysis of soundtracks and audiovisual evidence in the contemporary judicial environment. It begins with a general overview of the historical development of this method, introduces basic concepts and specifics of audio expertise, and explores the purpose and objects of this discipline. Furthermore, it addresses the significance of audio expertise in the detection and investigation of criminal offenses, analyzes the capabilities of audio expertise, and the challenges associated with its implementation. The section on methods then focuses on the selection of research objects, methods of audio expertise, and common errors in its execution. Emphasis is placed on the need for continuous development in this area in light of rapid technological advancements and the increasing importance of audiovisual evidence in the legal system. The thesis suggests that investments in research, education, and professional training are essential for further progress in the field of audio expertise and for strengthening trust in justice and legal processes.
