Homeworking, distanceworking, virtual teams and firms

Abstract:

Mění se charakter podnikání a organizací, odpadá nutnost seskupovat lidí v jednom místě anebo v jedné kanceláři pro řešení úkolů, spojených s jejích společnou činností. Nové ICT, řídící a organizační postupy vytvařejí lidem možnosti pracovat společně bez ohledu na geografické umístění. Rychlý vývoj informačních a komunikačních technologií si žádá nové úvahy o možnostech zaměstnanců i podniků a proto jsem si vybrala toto téma. Dnes je důležité poznání a pochopení třech fenoménů informační ekonomiky, o kterých bude moje práce. Tyto pojmy jsou označovány "homeworking", "distanceworking" (neboli teleworking) a "virtuální organizace". Cílem práce je vymezit tyto pojmy, analyzovat jejich reálné využití ve světě a zhodnotit, jaké přinášejí efekty a jaké jsou jejich nevýhody.

Abstract:

The nature of business is changing rapidly and nowadays there is no need to group people in one place or in an office to address the challenges associated with their work. New ICT, management and organizational practices create opportunities for people to work together regardless of geographic location. Nowadays it's essential to know and understand three phenomena of the information economy, which are called "telecommuting", "distanceworking" (or teleworking) and "virtual organization". The goal of this issue is to define these concepts, to analyze their use in the real world and evaluate what effects they bring and what are their disadvantages.
