The tradition of Advent in Czech society

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Tradice Adventu v české společnosti je rozdělena do tří celků. Stěžejním východiskem je poukázat na úpadek vědomí o zvycích a tradicích, avšak i o významu a myšlence specifických adventních svátků. V úvodu práce jsou čtenáři přiblíženy tradice, jejich význam a zvyky, které se k jednotlivým adventním svátkům váží. Dále se zaobírá současnou povědomostí a dodržováním adventních tradic v českých domácnostech za pomoci výzkumného šetření, jehož dotazovaným vzorkem jsou žáci základní školy v Brně. Součástí práce jsou i přílohy spojené s výzkumným šetřením. Na základě výše uvedených informací jsou závěrem uvedeny hypotézy a úvahy k zamyšlení nebo pro případnou další odbornou činnost.

Abstract:

Master’s thesis The Tradition of Advent in Czech society is divided into three parts. A crucial theme is to point out a degradation of awareness about habits and traditions, but also about a sense and meaning of specific advent feasts. At the beginning of the thesis traditions are described to a reader, their sense and habits, which are connected with particular advent feats. Onwards it concerns with current knowledge and observance of advent traditions in czech households with the aid of research, whose questioned sample are pupils of primary school in Brno. Attachments connected with research are also part of the thesis. On the basis of information mentioned above, hypotheses and reflections are presented in the end as food for thought or further potential expert activity.
