Rene Girard and his scapegoat mechanism

Abstract:

Obsahem mé bakalářské práce je vyložení teorie René Girarda. Jedná se o teorii mechanismu obětního beránka a o vztah mezi násilím a náboženstvím. Svou práci jsem koncipovala na dvě části. V první části, praktické, se zaměřím právě na vyložení Girardových teorií, kde se bude snažit pomocí sekundární literatury vysvětlit, co jeho teorie obnáší a za jakých okolností jsou platné. Ve druhé části, praktické, se pak zaměřím na to, zda jsou jeho teorie platné i v současné společnosti. Svou teoretickou část jsem zaměřila na výskyt mechanismu obětního beránka mezi žáky druhého stupně základní školy. Mým cílem je poukázat na fakt, že Girardovy teorie byly nadčasové a že i několik desítek let po napsání a vyslovení jeho teorie je stále platná.

Abstract:

The content of my work is explaining the theory of Rene Girard. It is a theory of the scapegoat mechanism and the relationship between violence and religion. I drew up my work into two parts. The first part is practice part, I focus on explaining Girard´s theory, where I will try to use secondary sources to explain what his theory implies, and under what circumstances are valid. In the second part, practical, then focus on whether his theories are valid in today's society. Its theoretical part was focused on the occurrence mechanism of the scapegoat for the pupils of upper primary school. My goal is to highlight the fact that Girard's theories were timeless and even a few decades after writing and expressing his theory is still valid.
