The utilization of resources from the European Union in projects in the Euroregion Glacensis area

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se detailně věnuje Euroregionu Glacesis, který je jedním ze šesti euroregionů na česko-polské hranici. Glacensis patří k největším okolo uvedené hranice a současně je nejmladší. První část se věnuje vznikem a historií euroregionů, další část práce popisuje jak se využívají finanční prostředky z evropských dotací na rozvoj euroregionu. Závěr práce se zaměřuje na konkrétní projekty, které jsou především zaměřeny na sociální, kulturní a ekonomickou sféru, rozvoj dopravní infrastruktury, ochranu životního prostředí, turistiku a cestovní ruch. Mnoho finančních prostředků je využíváno ke společným kulturně-společenským a sportovním akcím, které sbližují obyvatele v obou státech. Projekty jsou pak rozděleny na ty, co byly realizované v roce 2010 a na projekty, které budou realizovány v roce 2011.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis examines, in detail, the Euroregion Glacensis,one of the six euroregions that currently occupy the Czech-Polish border. Glacensis is one of the biggest but also the youngest at the mentioned section of the Czech border. The fist part of this thesis concentrates on particular projects, they mainly focus on the social, cultural and economical domain, the development of infrastructure, protection of the enviroment and tourism. Much of the financial assistance is used for joint cultural, social and sport activities that bring closer together the inhabitants of both countries. The projects are then divided into those that have been implemented in year 2010 and those that will be implemented in year 2011.
