The Impact of the Current Criris on Selected Macroeconomic Indicators in the Slovak Republic

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the examination, comparison and analysis of the evolution of macroeconomic indicators in the period before the crisis and during the crisis and also with their prediction. The thesis is divided into three parts, in the first part we will focus on the characteristics of macroeconomics and the examining of its history. We will also focus on the theoretical description of macroeconomic indicators, their dividing, measurement and definitions. The second part is dedicated to the theoretical knowledge of the crisis, its general description, evolution and also to the anti-crisis measures of the Government of the Slovak Republic. In the last third part we focus on the analysis of macroeconomic indicators in the Slovak Republic, following-up their past and current development during the crisis and also forecasting of their future development. In this part we also evaluate the effectiveness of selected anti-crisis measures of the Slovak Republic.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá skúmaním, porovnávaním a analýzou vývoja makroekonomických ukazovateľov v období pred krízou a v čase krízy a zároveň aj ich predikciou. Práca je rozdelená do troch častí, kde v prvej časti sa zameriame na charkateristiku makroekonómie, skúmaním jej histórie a teoretickým popisom makroekonomických ukazovateľov, ich členením, meraním a definíciami. V druhej časti sa venujeme taktiež teoretickým poznatkom, ale z oblasti krízy, jej všeobeným opisom, vývojom a taktiež protikrízovými opatreniami Vlády Slovenskej republiky. V poslednej tretej časti sme sa sústredili na analýzu vybraných makroekonomických ukazovateľov v Slovenskej republike, sledovanie ich vývoja v minulosti, v súčasnosti počas krízy a tiež prognózou ich vývoja v budúcnosti. Zároveň v tejto časti zhodnotíme aj efektívnosť vybraných protikrízových opatrení Slovenskej republiky.
