Indonesian economy from the geographical point of view

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá geografickou charakteristikou hospodářství Indonésie. Administrativně je souostroví rozděleno do jednotlivých provincií. Cílem práce byla charakteristika ekonomických sektorů na regionální úrovni a dále současné rozmístění těchto sektorů na území Indonésie. V prvních dvou kapitolách empirické části byla vymezena geografická poloha souostroví, obyvatelstvo, stručně byla představena historie země a dále vývoj a současný stav ekonomiky souostroví. Hlavní část práce byla věnována jednotlivým sektorům hospodářství (zemědělství, průmyslu a službám). Záměrem práce bylo zjistit, které provincie mají stále stejně vysokou specializaci na primární sektor, které provincie se specializují na sektor sekundární a které na sektor služeb. V závěru byly zhodnoceny jednotlivé provincie a faktory, které mají vliv (jak pozitivně tak negativně) na rozmístění sektorů v jednotlivých provinciích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis studies the geographic characteristic of the economy in Indonesia. The group of islands is administratively divided into individual provinces. The aim of this work was to characterize the sectors on a regional level and also the current placement of economic sectors in the Indonesian territory. In the first two chapters of the empirical part, the geographic location of the group of islands was defined, along with the population, brief history of the country and also the development and the current situation of the economy of the group of islands. The main part of the work was dedicated to individual sectors of the economy (agriculture, industry and services) and the purpose of this research was to find out which provinces still have high focus on the primary sector, which focus on the secondary sector and which focus on the service sector. In the conclusion, the individual provinces were evaluated, along with the influences (both positive and negative) of the placement of sectors in individual provinces.
