Knowledge of the gluten-free diet among students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zmapovat informovanost studentů Lékařské fakulty Ostravské univerzity v rámci bezlepkové diety. Zjistit v jaké míře se studenti v problematice pohybují, popřípadě jaké znalosti by bylo záhodno doplnit. V rámci teoretické části se zaměřím na obecné informace o lepku, bezlepkové dietě, jejích vhodných a nevhodných potravinách, o její indikaci a diagnostice. Také zmíním informace o nutrientech potravin bezlepkové diety a sepíšu ukázkový jídelníček. V praktické části se zkoumají a následně vyhodnocují znalosti studentů Ostravské univerzity Lékařské fakulty o bezlepkové dietě. Na zjištění znalostí studentů použiji strukturovaný dotazník v online formě, který studenti vyplní anonymně. V závěru praktické části bude vytvořen edukační materiál, kde se zaměřím na prohloubení vědomostí v tématu bezlepkové diety, který bude nadále pomáhat v objasnění a prohloubení informací o bezlepkové dietě a její problematice.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to map the awareness of the students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava regarding the gluten-free diet. To find out to what extent the students are moving in the issue, or what kind of knowledge it would be advisable to supplement. In the theoretical part, I will focus on general information about gluten, the gluten-free diet, its suitable and unsuitable foods, its indication and diagnosis. I will also mention information about the nutrients of gluten-free diet foods and write a sample menu. In the practical part, the students' knowledge of the gluten-free diet of the University of Ostrava, Faculty of Medicine is examined and subsequently evaluated. To find out students' knowledge, I will use a structured questionnaire in online form, which students will fill in anonymously. At the end of the practical part, educational material will be created, where I will focus on deepening my knowledge on the topic of the gluten-free diet, which will continue to help clarify and deepen information about the gluten-free diet and its issues
