Proposals for arboricultural and adaptation measures from the perspective of climate change in the greenery on Barvičova Street in Brno

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhy arboristických a adaptačních opatření z pohledu klimatické změny v zeleni v katastrálním území města Brna–Stránice. Pás zeleně ve středu ulice Barvičova, od rozcestí s ulicí Bohuslava Martinů až na konec ulice ke konečné zastávce MHD, byl pro přehlednost prací rozdělen do pěti celků. Na každém z celků byla provedena inventarizace, dendrologický průzkum a byla vytvořena mapa, fotodokumentace a návrhy adaptačních opatření a arboristických zásahů, byl vytvořen návrh zastávek interaktivní naučné stezky. Jedním z cílů práce bylo místní dotazníkové šetření s obyvateli a návštěvníky, které zjišťovalo zájem, vnímání a potřeby obyvatel vzhledem k zeleni a využití rekreačního potenciálu území. Navržená adaptační opatření tak chtěla přispět především ke zmírnění klimatických změn na území do budoucna.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the proposals of arboristic and adaptation measures from the perspective of climate change in greenery in the cadastral area of the city of Brno–Stránice. The green belt in the middle of Barvičova street, from the crossroads with Bohuslava Martinů street to the end of the street to the final public transport stop, was divided into five units for the sake of clarity of the works. An inventory, dendrological survey was carried out on each of the units and a map, photo documentation and proposals for adaptation measures and arboristic interventions were created. One of the objectives of the work was a local questionnaire survey with residents and visitors, which investigated the interest, perception and needs of the inhabitants with regard to greenery and the use of the recreational potential of the area. The proposed adaptation measures thus wanted to contribute to the mitigation of climate change in the territory in the future.
