The difficulties experienced by people with disabilities after spinal cord trauma in communicating with people without disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá obtížemi lidí s postižením po spinálním traumatu v komunikačním procesu s lidmi bez postižení. Cílem je nalézt obtíže, které lidé po spinálním traumatu prožívají v komunikačním procesu s lidmi bez postižení. V teoretické části je uvedena charakteristika osob s postižením po spinálním traumatu. Je v ní analyzována komunikace s ohledem na diskurz lidí s postižením po spinálním traumatu, dále jsou v ní vysvětleny postoje a stereotypy společnosti k postižení. V empirické části jsou uvedeny výsledky výzkumu. Ke zjištěním jsem došel skrze kvantitativní výzkumnou metodu dotazníku. Na základě výsledků mapujících obtíže respondentů při komunikačním procesu jsou jednotlivé obtíže vypsány a jsou navržena doporučení pro komunikaci lidí bez postižení s danými lidmi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the difficulties of people with disabilities after spinal trauma in the communication process with people without disabilities. The aim is to identify difficulties that experience people after spinal trauma in the communication process with people without disabilities. In the theoretical part is characteristic of persons with disabilities after spinal trauma. There is discussed communication with regard to the discourse of people with disabilities after spinal trauma. There are explained attitudes and stereotypes of society towards disability. The empirical part presents results of the research. The findings I came through by quantitative research method questionnaire. There are listed individual problems and proposed recommendations for the communication between people without disabilities and people after spinal trauma.
