Emergency as Part of Hospital Urgent Care

Abstract:

Moje bakalářská práce se zabývá příjmem pacientů do nemocniční neodkladné péče přes vysokoprahý urgentní příjem-Emergency. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část čtenáře seznámí s urgentními příjmy, jejich činností, historií, personálem a materiálním a technickým vybavením. V první části představuji činnost urgentních příjmů obecně a dále se zabývám vysokoprahým urgentním příjmem ve Fakultní nemocnici Plzeň-Lochotín. V praktické části jsem statisticky zpracovala data o pacientech přijatých přes Emergency ve Fakultní nemocnici Plzeň-Lochotín v roce 2010 a pomocí získaných dat jsem našla odpověď na předem stanovené hypotézy.

Abstract:

My bachelor´s thesis is concerned with the admission of patients into hospital urgent care through a high-threshold gateway ? Emergency. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the reader learns about admissions by Emergency and about activities, history, personnel and material and technical equipment of the department. In the opening section, the scope of activities of Emergencies is discussed in general, then I focus on a high-threshold urgent admissions into the Teaching Hospital in Lochotín. In the empirical part, I statistically processed the data of patients admitted into the Teaching Hospital in Lochotín in 2010. Using this data I was able to answer the previously established hypotheses.
