Hold your body right - the case study of a person suffering from disability of locomotive faculties

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zmapování života jednoho respondenta trpícího postižením hybného systému. Hlavní cíl práce je zachytit dlouhodobý vývoj oslabení hybného systému respondenta, popsat životní situace ovlivněné zdravotním oslabením, vyvodit doporučení pro jedince se stejným nebo podobným postižením včetně jeho vychovatelů a být východiskem pro další bádání v této oblasti. Teoretická část se dále dělí do několika podkapitol týkajících se problematiky hybného aparátu. Výzkumná část tvoří jádro této práce. Největší část zabírá narativní rozhovor s respondentem, který líčí svůj život s důrazem na pohybový režim a životní situace ovlivněné nemocí. Výzkumné šetření ukázalo, že jedinec s tímto postižením je nucen se během svého života neustále vyrovnávat nejen se somatickými překážkami, ale i s psychickými a sociálními problémy, a také to, že velkou roli v tomto postižení hraje genetika. Na základě zkušeností zkoumané osoby byly vyvozeny doporučení pro osoby se stejným nebo podobným postižením.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on mapping the life of a respondent suffering from disability of locomotive faculties. The target of the thesis is to capture the long-term development of debilitation of the locomotive system of the respondent, to describe the life situations influenced by health debilitation, to draw the recommendations for an individual with the same or similar disability including their carer, and it can be the basis for further research in this field. The theoretical part is further divided into the several sub-chapters concerning the problems of the locomotive apparatus. The research part is the core of this work. The largest section of the narrative deals with the interviews with a respondent who describes her life with emphasis on exercise regime and the life situations affected by the disease. The survey proved that the person with such a disability is forced to deal not only with the somatic obstacles, but also with the psychological and social problems constantly throughout her life and also that the genetics plays a large role in this disability. There are the recommendations for persons with the same or similar disability which were drawn from the experience of our surveyed person.
