This bachelor thesis studies, compares and analyzes Henry Miller and Charles Bukowski, essentially in their novels, Tropic of Cancer (1934) and Ham on Rye (1982). It examines the reactions of both authors to their culture, society and their close relationship to women. Abstract:
Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá studiem, srovnáváním a analýzou Henryho Miller a Charlese Bukowského, hlavně v jejich dílech Obratník Raka (1934) a Šunkový Nářez (1982). Práce se věnuje reakcím obou autorů na jejich kulturu, společnost a jejich vztah k ženám. Práce také zmiňuje, jaký byl vzájemný vztah obou autorů a zjišťuje význam jejich vlivných a kontroverzních prací v dnešním světě.
