Abstract:
The Bachelor thesis discusses the novel Dune by Frank Herbert. The story follows the House Atreides and their remnants as they navigate the inhospitable environments and high-stakes politics of the desert planet Arrakis. Tato bakalářská práce probírá dílo Duna Franka Herberta. Kniha zobrazuje jak se rod Atreidů a jeho přeživší na planetě Arrakis probíjí nehostinnou pustinou za vyhrocené politické situace. Kniha rozebírá podstatu politické moci, a jejího uplatnění v jiných oblastech se společenským vlivem, kterými jsou například ekologie či náboženství.
