Accounting for securities and derivatives in the double-entry accounting

Abstract:

The diploma work deals with the accounting of securities and financial derivatives in the double-entry bookkeeping for businesses. The first chapter focuses on the general characteristics of the securities, their classification according to different perspectives, the definition of individual types of securities and financial derivatives. The second chapter deals with accounting for securities and derivatives in addition to the definition of the tax treatment of securities of the Act. 595/2003 Z. of. Income Tax, as amended. The third chapter analyzes the accounting of securities and derivatives for a particular entity based on a variety of accounting transactions related to securities and derivatives incurred during the current accounting period.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá účtovaním cenných papierov a finančných derivátov v sústave podvojného účtovníctva pre podnikateľov. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na všeobecnú charakteristiku cenných papierov, ich klasifikáciu podľa rôznych hľadísk, vymedzenie jednotlivých druhov cenných papierov a finančných derivátov. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá účtovaním cenných papierov a derivátov popri vymedzenia daňovej úpravy cenných papierov zo zákona č. 595/2003 Z. z. o dani z príjmov v znení neskorších predpisov. Tretia kapitola analyzuje účtovanie cenných papierov a derivátov u konkrétnej účtovnej jednotky na základe rôznych účtovných prípadov týkajúce sa cenných papierov a derivátov, ktoré vznikli počas bežného účtovného obdobia.
