Sibling relationships in homeless children with a focus on hostels

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahy sourozenců v rodině potýkající se s bezdomovectvím se zaměřením na ubytovny. Cílem práce je zmapovat povahu sourozeneckých vztahů v prostředí ubytovny. Teoretická část nejprve zasazuje sourozence do kontextu rodiny jako její jednotku. Poté osvětluje faktory ovlivňující sourozence a jejich vztahy. Dále pojednává o problematice bezdomovectví, typologii bezdomovectví, problematice ubytoven a rodinách s dětmi na ubytovnách. Poskytuje tak vhled do kontextuálního pozadí, ve kterém se vyvíjejí sourozenecké vztahy. V aplikační části je cílem zanalyzovat a porovnat povahu sourozeneckých vztahů v prostředí ubytovny. Jsou popsány čtyři kazuistiky, které byly vytvořeny z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s matkami sourozenců žijících na ubytovně. Pro doplnění kontextu slouží stručné informace z nestrukturovaných rozhovorů se sociálními pracovnicemi a z pozorování, které jsou uvedeny pod každou kazuistikou. Nakonec jsou kazuistiky analyzovány a porovnány v tabulce a v závěrečné diskuzi.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the relationships of siblings in a family facing homelessness with a focus on hostels. The aim of the thesis is to map the nature of sibling relationships in the hostel environment. The theoretical part first places siblings in the context of the family as its unit. It then sheds light on the factors influencing siblings and their relationships. It also discusses the issue of homelessness, the typology of homelessness, the issue of hostels and families with children living in hostels. It thus provides insight into the contextual background in which sibling relationships develop. In the application part, the aim is to analyze and compare the nature of sibling relationships in the dormitory environment. Four case studies are described, which were created from semi-structured interviews with mothers of siblings living in a dormitory. To supplement the context, brief information from unstructured interviews with social workers and from observations is provided under each case study. Finally, the case studies are analyzed and compared in a table and in the final discussion.
