Periodontal disease in women

Abstract:

Women are influenced by sex hormones in their everyday life, so in this work I decided to find out to what extent this fact is also reflected in the oral cavity. I dealt with whether it is possible to attribute the emergence of inflammation in the oral cavity to sex hormones, its worsening or whether they have no effect on the inflammation. In the theoretical part, I chronologically went through all the significant periods in a woman's life from the point of view of sex hormones. In the practical part, I focused on the case studies of 4 female patients, where I observed to what extent the inflammation that occurred in the oral cavity was reversible after improving hygiene and how much the condition remained unchanged, perhaps due to hormonal levels.

Abstract:

Ženy sú pohlavnými hormónmi ovplyvňované v každodennom živote, preto som sa v tejto práci rozhodla zistiť, nakoľko sa táto skutočnosť prejaví aj v dutine ústnej. Zaoberala som sa tým, či je možné pripísať pohlavným hormónom vznik zápalu v dutine ústnej, jeho zhoršenie alebo na zápal nemajú žiadny vplyv. V teoretickej časti som chronologicky prešla všetkými, z hľadiska pohlavných hormónov, významnými obdobiami v živote ženy. V praktickej časti som sa venovala kazuistikám 4 pacientiek, kde som sledovala, nakoľko je zápal, ktorý v dutine ústnej prebiehal reverzibilný po zlepšení hygieny a nakoľko zostáva stav nezmenený možno práve vďaka hormonálnym hladinám.
