Abstract:
Cílem práce je srovnání dvou vydání Vonnegutova románu Kolíbka (Cat's Cradle) v překladu Jaroslava Kořána. První vydání pochází z roku 1976 a je do značné míry poznamenané cenzurou. Práce si všímá rozdílů mezi tímto a opraveným vydáním z roku 1994. Vedle změn způsobených cenzurou zkoumá hlavně lexikální a gramatické rozdíly mezi překlady a jejich vliv na cílový text.
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to compare two editions of Kurt Vonnegut’s novel Cat’s Cradle translated by Jaroslav Kořán. The first edition of 1976 is largely influenced by censorship. The thesis deals with differences between the edition of 1976 and the revised edition of 1994. It focuses on lexical and grammatical differences between the two editions, as well as on changes caused by censorship. The …more
