Tato práce se zabývá analýzou dvou synonymních sloves own a possess. Cílem práce je zkoumat kolokační možnosti obou sloves ve spojení se substantivy, a tím zjistit významové rozdíly mezi oběma synonymy. Význam sloves je nejprve zkoumán na základě jejich definic ve slovnících anglického jazyka a synonymních slovnících. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the analysis of two synonymous verbs own and possess. The aim of this thesis is to study and analyse the collocational possibilities of both verbs in connection with nouns and to find the difference in meaning of the selected two verbs.
