Bakalářská práce se zabývá ilegálním obchodem s drogami na území Mexika. Nejprve je zmíněn historický kontext, tzn. podmínky a příčiny, které vedly ke vzniku ilegálního obchodu s drogami. V závěrečné části je pak věnována pozornost situaci od roku 2006, kdy tehdy nastupující prezident Felipe Calderón vyhlásil válku drogovým kartelům, což znamenalo výrazné zhoršení bezpečnostní situace v zemi. The thesis deals with the topic of illegal drug trade in Mexico. First, it briefly describes the evolution of the trade from a historical point of view and tries to identify some of the key moments that gave a start to this form of organized crime.
