The Use of Environmental Management Accounting in Municipality Waste Management

Abstract:

Tato disertační práce se zaměřuje na problematiku odpadového hospodářství v obcích v souvislosti s využitím environmentálního manažerského účetnictví. Princip udržitelnosti je aplikován do zvolené metody Balanced Scorecard. Práce obsahuje přehled aktuálních poznatků z oblasti environmentálního manažerského účetnictví a Balanced Scorecard jako nástroje strategického řízení obcí. Hlavní náplní disertační práce je navržení a aplikace systému environmentálního manažerského účetnictví na podporu rozhodovací procesů v oblasti odpadového hospodářství obcí.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis focuses on the issue of waste management in municipalities in the context of environmental management accounting. The sustainable principles are applied into the Balanced Scorecard method. The thesis gives an overview of existing knowledge in the field of environmental management accounting and Balanced Scorecard as an instrument of strategic management in municipalities. The main tasks are to suggest and apply the system of environmental management accounting for decision-making support in waste management in municipalities.
