A proposal to the increasing of the statutory preservation in the Písečný vrch Nature preserve

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá lokalitou Písečný vrch u Bečova na Mostecku. V textu jsou zpracovány geologické poměry Písečného vrchu, jeho stavba, časové proměny, silicifikace, současný stav a geologické průzkumy na lokalitě v souvislosti s těžební činností. Dále se práce zabývá přehledem archeologických výzkumů, možným využíváním lokality různými kulturami od pravěku až do současnosti. Je zde uveden i legislativní vývoj od počátků těžby, zájmy těžebních společností, pokusy o ochranu této pozoruhodné lokality, jejího vyjmutí z hornických provozů a nakonec i vyhlášení přírodní rezervace s posláním ochrany teplomilných společenstev ohrožených druhů rostlin a živočichů. Na tuto část navazuje kritické zhodnocení současného stavu lokality a její přirozená rekultivace, obhospodařování podle plánu péče, další využívání a podání návrhu na tematické rozšíření ochrany Písečného vrchu z pohledu geologie a archeologie.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the Písečný vrch Hill locality near Bečov, The District of Most, North Bohemia. In the text there are treated geographical, geological and natural features of the locality, its structure, temporal changing, silicification, current state and a survey of the rock excavation activities. The descriptional part is aimed to give a review of archaeological researches and the geological survey at the location in connection with the production activity. Further, there is a discussion of legal process taking into account initial mining activities and interests of mining companies, attempts to preserve the magnificent locality, its exclusion from the mining and, finally, its declaration a Natural Preserve with the mission to protect thermophilic associations of both, endangered plant and animal species. Concluding part of thesis is aimed to critical evaluation of contemporary state of the locality, its natural recultivation in accordance with tending plan, as well as to some suggestions concerning future use and thematic extension of the Natural Preserve Písečný vrch Hill from geological and archaeologial points of view.
