Analysis of the international expansion of the fitness center on the example of the Form Factory company

Abstract:

V rámci této bakalářské práce je prozkoumán průběh mezinárodní expanze polské společnosti poskytující fitness a wellness služby. Cílem slouží analýza úspěšnosti vstupu teto firmy na český trh. Považuji stanovené téma za velice než relevantní, jelikož se v poslední době v důsledku liberalizace mezinárodního obchodu značně prosazuje expanze v sektoru služeb. V první části této práce jsou zkoumány různé způsoby vstupu na mezinárodní trhy. Též jsou zdůrazněny zásadní silné a slabé stránky nejběžnějších způsobů expanze. Tudíž pro společnosti podnikající v oblasti fitness jsou znázorněny body, kterým by měla být věnována pozornost. Tato práce by však mohla být užitečná pro jakoukoli společnost působící v odvětví služeb, protože se zaměřuje na hlavní činnosti, které pomohou společnosti dostát se na mezinárodní úroveň. Ve druhé části budou kroky expanze popsány na příkladu společnosti Form Factory. Kromě toho budou analyzovány různé interní firemní údaje po vstupu na český trh. V průběhu této práce se ukázalo, že expanze dané společnosti byla relativně úspěšná. Nicméně fenomén mezinárodní expanze lze studovat nekonečně.

Abstract:

Within this bachelor's thesis is described the international expansion of a Polish company providing fitness and wellness services. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the success of this company's entry into the Czech market. This issue is very relevant, because as a result of international trade liberalization, expansion in the services sector has been gaining ground rapidly. The first part of this work examines the various ways of entering international markets. The main strengths and weaknesses of the most common ways of expansion are also highlighted. Therefore, for companies doing business in the fitness area, there are key points worth paying attention to. However, this work could be useful for any company operating in the services sector, as it focuses on the main activities that will help the company reach the international level. In the second part, the expansion steps are described on the example of Form Factory company. In addition, various internal company data gained after entering the Czech market are analyzed. Basing on the data obtained from this thesis, the expansion can be considered as a relatively successful one. Thus, the phenomenon of international expansion can be studied indefinitely.
