Contribution of the terciary physical therapy care on postural control of the patients with total hip replacement

Abstract:

Presented diploma thesis deals with the total hip replacement (THR), postural control of the patients after its implatation during terciary physical therapy care and her contribution to this problem.Goal of this thesis is to mention neurophysiologic changes in postural and locomotive situation of the patients after total hip replacement, which has an influnce on postural control during gait or activities of daily living. Altered postural control of the patients with THR comes at first with their incorrect motor patterns from previous proces of coxarthrosis and also is influenced by deficiency of proprioceptive infromations from imporant neuronal parts of hip joint replaced by endoprothesis and by higher age of the patients. Part of the paper is research, which`s subject field is testing of postural control of the patients with THR during terciary physical therapy care in spa.

Abstract:

Predložená diplomová práca sa zaoberá totálnou endoprotézou (TEP) bedrového kĺbu, posturálnou kontrolou pacientov po jej implantácii v čase terciárnej rehabilitačnej starostlivosti a prínosom v tejto problematike. Cieľom práce je poukázať na neurofyziologické zmeny v posturálnej a lokomočnej situácii pacienta po náhrade bedrového kĺbu totálnou endoprotézou, ktoré majú vplyv na celkovú posturálnu kontrolu pacienta počas chôdze a denných bežných činností. Zhoršená posturálna kontrola u pacientov s TEP bedrového kĺbu pochádza jednak z nesprávnych motorických vzorov, ktoré pretrvávajú z predchádzajúceho obdobia patologického procesu vzniku koxartózy a taktiež vplyvom deficitu proprioceptívnej informácie z dôležitých neuronálnych kĺbnych častí nahradených endoprotézou a vyšším vekom pacienta. Súčasťou práce je výskumná časť, ktorej predmetom je testovanie posturálnej kontroly u pacientov s TEP bedrového kĺbu v terciárnej rehabilitačnej starostlivosti počas kúpeľného pobytu.
