Modern approaches and their significance in supporting motor functions in children under 3 years of age from the perspective of an occupational therapist

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou psychomotorického vývoje a pomůckami formující tento vývoj u dětí s patologickými odchylkami do 3 let z pohledu ergoterapie. V teoretické části jsou představeny základní vývojové milníky motorického vývoje, dále pak možné patologické odchylky u dětí. Součástí teorie je též handling, léčebné metody využívané v dětské rehabilitaci a správné pomůcky. V neposlední řadě je zde popsán i úvod do dětské rehabilitace, ergoterapeutická intervence v problematice dětí ale také je zde popsána i edukace rodičů. V praktické části jsou popsány hlavní a vedlejší cíle, důkladná metodologie práce, ale tako jsou zde pospány 2 metody výzkumu, které byly použity. První metodou bylo dotazní-kové šetření a druhou metodou byla analýza dat zdravotnické dokumentace. Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit význam handlingu a využití pomůcek formující psychomoto-rický vývoj dětí s patologickými odchylkami z pohledu ergoterapeuta. Vedlejším cílem práce bylo vyhotovení materiálu, který poslouží jako edukační materiál pro rodiče, který dále po-může k lepší orientaci v této aktuální problematice. V závěru práce jsou popsány a vyhodno-ceny výsledky dotazníkového šetření a analýzy dat zdravotnické dokumentace. Výsledky těchto dvou zkoumání jsou podstatné pro výzkumné otázky a následnou diskuzi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of psychomotor development and aids forming this development in children with pathological deviations up to 3 years of age from the perspecti-ve of occupational therapy. In the theoretical part, the basic developmental milestones of mo-tor development are presented, as well as possible pathological deviations in children. The theory also includes handling, therapeutic methods used in children's rehabilitation and pro-per aids. Last but not least, an introduction to paediatric rehabilitation, occupational therapy intervention in children's problems is described, but also the education of parents is described. The practical part describes the main and secondary objectives, the thorough metho-dology of the thesis, but it also describes the 2 research methods that were used. The first method was a questionnaire survey and the second method was the analysis of medical re-cords data. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the importance of handling and the use of aids shaping the psychomotor development of children with pathological deviati-ons from the perspective of an occupational therapist. A secondary aim of the thesis was to produce material that will serve as educational material for parents, which will further help to better understand this topical issue. In the conclusion of the thesis, the results of the questi-onnaire survey and the analysis of medical records data are described and evaluated. The re-sults of these two investigations are relevant to the research questions and subsequent discussion.
