How is function of hand and quailty of life influenced by carpal tunel syndrom? OT view

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na ovlivnění funkce ruky syndromem karpálního tunelu a na smysl ergoterapeutické intervence u této diagnózy. Práce je rozdělena na teoretická východiska a praktickou část. V části nazvané teoretická východiska je ze začátku rozebrána anatomie horní končetiny od předloktí až po ruku, dále je popsán syndrom karpálního tunelu. Přesněji je popsána definice, etiologie, diagnostika, atd., je zde vysvětlena celá problematika ohledně syndromu karpálního tunelu. Dále pak také kinetika zápěstí například. V poslední části teoretické části je popsána ergoterapie u syndromu karpálního tunelu. V další části bakalářské práce, která se nazývá praktická, je sepsán cíl s úkoly a metodika. Dále je napsána kazuistika, vstupní vyšetření, a stanovení krátkodobého ergoterapeutického plánu. Následně průběh terapie, dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán a závěr. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjištění, zda má ergoterapeutická intervence smysl a jak ovlivňuje syndrom karpálního tunelu funkci ruky.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on influence of function hand by syndrome carpal tunnel and on purpose of occcupational therapist intervention at this diagnosis. The whole bachelor thesis is divided in theoretical basis and practical part. In section called theoretical basis there is illustrated anatomy of upper limb from forearm to hand and then the syndrome of carpal tunnel is described. More precisely is divided in definition, etiology, diagnostics ect, overall there is figured the whole problematice of syndrome carpal tunnel. Then there is decribed the kinetics of wrist for example. In the last patrt of theoretical basis there is described the occupational therapy at syndrome carpal tunnel. In the next part of my bachelor thesis, which is called practical part there is described the object with tasks and methodics. Then there are casuistry, initial examination and short occupational therapy plan. In the last part there are courses of therapy, long-term occupational therapy plan and conclusion. Purpose of bachelor thesis is to find out whether occupationat therapy intervention is needed and whether syndrome carpal tunnel influence function of hand.
