Teaching methods in English classes with integrated pupils

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá výukovými metodami v hodinách anglického jazyka ve třídách s integrovanými žáky. Hlavním konceptem práce je objasnění důležitých teoretických poznatků, vymezení různých druhů integrací vyskytujících se v rámci běžné základní školy a charakteristika výukových metod. Primárním cílem práce je zjistit, jaké výukové metody učitelé používají ve třídách s integrovanými žáky a jestli se přítomnost integrovaných žáků v hodinách anglického jazyka odráží na volbě výukové metody. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě části, část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zabývá integrací žáků, především specifickými poruchami učení a chování a poruchami autistického spektra. Dále je zde uvedena klasifikace výukových metod, jejich popis a charakteristika. Práce se více zabývá tradičními a aktivizujícími výukovými metodami, jejich využitím a dělením. V praktické části diplomové práce je proveden výzkum na základě dotazníků určených učitelům anglického jazyka na základních školách. Předmětem výzkumu je ověřit stanovené výzkumné cíle, které jsou po analýze výsledků výzkumu buď potvrzeny či vyvráceny.

Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis deals with teaching methods in English classes with integrated pupils. The main concept of the thesis is to clarify some important theoreotical knowledge, to define different types of integration occuring at common primary schools and the characterization of teaching methods. The main aim of the thesis is to find out what kinds of teaching methods teachers use in English classes with integrated pupils and whether the presence of integrated pupils in English classes influences the choice of teaching methods.The Diploma Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with different disorders and disabilities, mainly with specific learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders. The classification of teaching methods, their description and characterization is stated here. The thesis focuses on traditional and activating teaching methods, their application and sorting. In the practical part the research, which is based on the questionnaires prepared specifically for teachers of English language at primary schools, is done. The subject of the research is to verify stated research aims which are confirmed or disproved according to the analysis of the research results.
