Koalice Saúdské Arábie, Spojených arabských emirátů, Egypta a Bahrajnu uvalila na Katar v polovině roku 2017 pozemní, námořní a leteckou blokádu, zavedla diplomatické sankce a pomocí nátlaku se tak snažila změnit chování katarského režimu. Abstract:
In mid-2017, a coalition of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain imposed a land, sea and air blockade on Qatar as well as diplomatic sanctions in an attempt to pressure the Qatari regime to change its behaviour.
