New Age Music

Abstract:

Svtový filozofický fenomén new age se promítá do oblasti umní i do širokého spektra vdních obor již více než ticet let. Do hudební produkce zasáhl práv fenoménem zvaným hudba new age. Jak dokazuje tato práce, hudba new age nemusí být pro hudební vdu uchopitelná pouze pohledem etnomuzikologie i muzikoterapie. Je však nezbytné ji chápat jako alternativní hudební produkci k hudb artificiální, k hudb pro nás obvyklé. Rozhodn na ni nelze aplikovat metody komplexní harmonické analýzy i jiná hudebn teoretická mítka. Je to zpsobeno zcela odlišným charakterem hudby new age a pedevším jejími zásadn odlišnými vlastními kognitivními reflexemi. Hudba new age není poznamenána provázaností kompoziních styl klasicko-romantické syntézy, ani estetickými teoriemi i kontextem koncertních a divadelních produkcí. Není možné analyzovat její hudební struktury, ale naopak nutné je chápat ji v kontextu sociologickém, tedy zejména jako výsledek sociálního jednání, primárn zameného na relaxaci, meditaci a lébu hudbou s duchovním rozmrem na pozadí.

Abstract:

The new age world phenomenon has been interfering in the field of the art and also in the wide spectrum of the science branches for thirty years already. It has interfered in the musical production just by the phenomenon called new age. As this work demonstrates, the new age music need not be described in musicology only by the view of ethnomusicology or music therapy. But it is necessary to understand it as an alternative musical production to the classical music, which is conventional for us. It is absolutely impossible to aply the complete harmonic analysis methods or another criterion of music theory on it. That fact is caused by completely different character of the new age music and especially by its own different cognitive reflections. The new age music is not influented by the classic and romantic synthesis musical styles, by the aesthetical theories or by the concert and theatrical production context. It is impossible to analyse its musical structures but it is necessary to understand it in the sociological context. It means understand it especially as a result of the social action which is mainly oriented to the relaxation, meditation and music therapy with the spiritual dimension on the background.
