Selected analytical methods used in competitive intelligence

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je vypracována na téma „Vybrané analytické metody používané v competitive intelligence“. Cíle práce jsou analýza a srovnání vybraných analytických metod používaných v competitive intelligence a jejich aplikace na společnost Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s. Nejprve jsou popsány teoretické znalosti ohledně competitive intelligence. V druhé části jsou představeny tři metody získávání competitive intelligence, tj. PEST analýza, Porterův model 5 sil a SWOT analýza. U těchto metod jsou následně shrnuty jejich silné a slabé stránky a je provedena jejich vzájemná komparace. V poslední části bakalářské práce jsou vybrané metody aplikovány na společnost Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s. Jsou zde zjištěny příležitosti a hrozby, které podnik může očekávat, a silné a slabé stránky podniku. V závěru jsou shrnuty zjištěné poznatky a stanoveno doporučení pro podnik Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is based on the topic "Selected analytical methods used in competitive intelligence". The aim of the thesis is the analysis and comparison of selected analytical methods used in competitive intelligence and their application to the company Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s. First, the theoretical knowledge regarding competitive intelligence is described. In the second part, three methods of obtaining competitive intelligence are presented, i.e. PEST analysis, Porter's 5 forces model and SWOT analysis. For these methods, their strengths and weaknesses are then summarized and a comparison between the methods is made. In the last part of the bachelor thesis, the selected methods are applied to the company Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s. Opportunities and threats that the company can expect and the strengths and weaknesses of the company are identified. The findings are summarized and recommendations for Pekárny a cukrárny Náchod, a.s. are set out in the conclusion.
