Financial analysis of the Hanácké železárny a pérovny, a. s.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na finanční analýzu Hanáckých železáren a péroven, a. s. za období počínající rokem 2011 a končící rokem 2014. Práce obsahuje dvě hlavní části- metodickou a praktickou. Na počátku bude věnována pozornost metodické části soustřeďující se především na popis jednotlivých metod finanční analýzy. Nejprve bude nastíněna horizontální a vertikální analýza, dále pak rozdílové a poměrové ukazatele doplněné o pyramidální rozklady, a závěrem této metodické části se budu věnovat i bankrotním a bonitním modelům sloužícím k predikci možné finanční tísně. Ve druhé části bakalářské práce budou teoreticky definované postupy z metodické části aplikovány na podnik Hanácké železárny a pérovny, a. s. Po představení této společnosti pak přistoupím k její finanční analýze s využitím jednotlivých modelů a ukazatelů. Na závěr zhodnotím finanční zdraví společnosti, a případně představím návrh na zlepšení situace do budoucna.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial analysis of the Hanácké železárny a pérovny, a. s. company for a period of 2011- 2014. The thesis is divided into two main parts- a methodical and a practical part. At the beginning I will pay attention to the methodical part which is particularly describing the individual methods of financial analysis. At first, I will outline a horizontal and vertical analysis, followed by differential and financial ratios with pyramidal decompositions, subsequently the bankruptcy models and credit scoring models will be explained to prevent potential financial stringency. In the second half of this thesis, theoretically defined techniques from the methodical part are applied to the enterprise Hanácké železárny a pérovny, a. s. After introduction of the company, I will proceed to the company analysis using single techniques and ratios. At the end I will evaluate the financial condition of the company and I will propose how to improve current situation in the future eventually.
