Profile of the Hungarian Broadcasting of the Slovak Radio in Years 1989 - 1992

Abstract:

My baccalurate thesis introduces the development of the Hungarian broadcast in the Slovak National Radio from 1989 to 1992. I outline the organisational development of the redaction, as well as the expansion of the broadcasting time alongside with the structural and political changes in the Hungarian brodcasting after the Velvet Revolution. My work draws attention to the latest events in the history of Hungarian broadcasting, emphasising the main causes of the Federation's decline. As a result of the abolition of censorship, November of 1989 was a stepping stone for the contemporary Slovak radio broadcast. My study also presents how the Hungarian redaction used the events as means of topics for new programmes, for minority broadcasting and how this brought about new political conditions, or effected the roles of the radio in favour of the publicity in that period of time.

Abstract:

Záverečná bakalárska práca opisuje vývin maďarskéhovysielania Slovenského rozhlasu v rokoch 1989-1992. V hlavných črtáchsa dotýka organizačného vývoja redakcie, ako aj rozširovania vysielacieho času,štrukturálne a politické zmeny v maďarskom vysielaní po nežnejrevolúcie. Práca poukazuje na nové skutočnosti v histórii maďarskéhovysielania, na to, čo priniesol rozpad federácie. Novembrom 1989 sa otvorilaslovenská rozhlasová súčasnosť vďaka zrušenia cenzúry. V mojej prácipripomeniem, ako využili v maďarskej redakcii túto udalosť, aké novéprogramy vznikli pri tom, pre národnostné vysielania čo priniesli nové politicképodmienky a aké úlohy mal plniť rozhlas v záujme verejnostiv tomto období.
