Economic Aspects of the Transformations of the Selected Subculture

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje proměnám vnímání i ekonomického potenciálu tetování po roce 1989. Popisuje ekonomické aspekty práce tatérů a vývoj výše finančních prostředků vložených do tetování ve vztahu k hospodářskému cyklu. Pokouší se o kategorizaci tatérů i jejich zákazníků, resp. poptávky po tetování. Cílem je vysvětlit proměnu společenské role tetování po roce 1989, vč. jejích ekonomických aspektů. Práce vychází z dostupné literatury, hlavním informačním zdrojem jsou však rozhovory s pražskými tatéry. Výzkumný vzorek zahrnuje tatéry z odlišných prostředí, pracujících odlišnými styly a technikami.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the changes in perception of tattoo and also with the economic potential of tattoos after the year 1989. It describes the economic aspects of tattoo artists' work and the development of the amount of money invested into tattoos relating to the business cycle. It attempts to categorize tattoo artists and their customers and the demand for tattoos. The aim of the thesis is to explain the transformation of the social role of tattoos after year 1989, especially the economic aspects. The work is based on available literature, but the main information source are interviews with tattoo artists from Prague. The research sample should include tattoo artists from different categories according to their style and technique of work.
