The effects of crops on the chemical and physical properties of soil.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá posouzením vlivů pěstovaných plodin na chemické a fyzikální vlastnosti půdy. Literární přehled je zaměřen na charakteristiku jednotlivých půdních vlastností sledovaných v této bakalářské práci. V praktické části jsou popsány analýzy půdy provedené na vzorcích odebraných ve čtyřech termínech v průběhu jednoho vegetačního období. Na sledovaných pozemcích byly pěstovány tyto plodiny: ozimá pšenice, jarní ječmen a cukrovka. Z neporušených půdních vzorků odebraných ze dvou hloubek (0–15 a 15–30 cm) byla stanovená objemová hmotnost, celková pórovitost, maximální kapilární vodní kapacita, vlhkost a minimální vzdušná kapacita. Z porušených vzorků se laboratorně analyzoval obsah organického uhlíku, aktivní a výměnná půdní reakce, sorpční schopnost půd a struktura půdy. Z předkládaných výsledků nelze jednoznačně říct, která plodina půdu zlepšovala nebo zhoršovala. V rámci výsledků byly zaznamenány pouze nepatrné rozdíly mezi obilninami a cukrovkou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis assesses the effects of crops on the chemical and physical properties of soil. The literary overview focuses on the characteristics of individual properties of soil. The practical part analyses soil samples taken at four times during one vegetation period. The following crops were grown on the monitored lands: winter wheat, spring barley and sugar beet. The volume weight, the total porosity, the maximum capillary water capacity, moister and the minimum air capacity were determined from the undisturbed soil samples that were taken at two depths (0-0.15 and 0.15-0.30 m). There was analysed from the disturbed samples: the content of organic carbon, active and exchangeable soil reaction, the soil’s sorption ability and the soil’s structure. From the presented results, it is not possible to definitely say which crop improved or worsened the soil. Based on the results, there were only subtle differences between cereals and sugar beet.
