Positives and Drawbacks of the Legal Regulation on Microchips

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na klady a nedostatky právní úpravy čipování psů. První část práce popisuje základní pojmy a právní předpisy související s danou problematikou a blíže se věnuje současné právní úpravě čipování psů v České republice. Dále se práce zabývá přiblížením vybraných podzákonných předpisů a jejich srovnáním s předmětnou regulací. Cílem práce je zhodnotit silné a slabé stránky současné právní regulace čipování psů a zároveň určit její možné dopady na boj proti nelegálnímu množení psů. V závěru práce jsou také uvedeny návrhy de lege ferenda.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the prons and cons of the legal regulation of microchipping dogs. The first part of the thesis describes basic concepts and legal regulations related to the issue and deals in more detail with current legislation on microchipping dogs in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the approximation of selected by-laws and their comparison with the regulation in question. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the current legal regulation of microchipping dogs and also to determine its possible effects in the fight against illegal breeding of dogs. At the end of the thesis, de lege ferenda proposals are presented.
