Mapping insomnia and depression

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat insomnii a depresi. Obě formy onemocnění představují celosvětový ekonomicky nákladný pojem na léčbu. Insomnie je velmi často podceňována. Jejím příznakem kromě kognitivních problémů, jsou i depresivní symptomy. Diplomová práce je zkonstruována jako přehledová studie, která přináší základní vhled do této problematiky. Cílem je najít souvislosti a podobnosti obou forem onemocnění. Do této přehledové studie bylo zahrnuto ve výsledku celkem 40 vědeckých článků, které jsou následně rozpracovány. Teoretická část se soustředí na základní vymezení onemocnění separátně. Empirická část tyto syntetizuje. Souhrn studií se může stát přínosem pro pochopení celého konceptu, neboť upozorňuje zejména na význam.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to map insomnia and depression. Both forms of the disease represent a worldwide economically costly concept to treat. Insomnia is very often underestimated. Its symptoms include depressive symptoms in addition to cognitive problems. This thesis is constructed as a review study that provides a basic insight into this issue. The aim is to find connections and similarities between the two forms of the disease. As a result, a total of 40 scientific articles were included in this review study and are subsequently elaborated. The theoretical part focuses on the basic definition of the disease separately. The empirical part synthesizes these. The summary of the studies can become an asset for understanding the whole concept as it highlights in particular the importance of.
