Opportunities of internal audit application for the corporate

Abstract:

Internal audit is an important preventive and self-adjusting instrument in each company. The priority of each company is reaching the maximal own prosperity. Using of internal audit for the company prosperity is just the way, which the executives of mainly bigger companies are choosing. There is an increasing trend in signification of internal audit in nowadays. The aim of diploma work is to present internal audit, its organizational structure, main activity goals, methods and ways used by internal auditors in a company, which is successful on local market as well as on foreign market. Next aim of diploma work is to show that internal audit is a feedback for management and give the management a possibility to be better in making right decisions. We can see the work contribution in analysis of internal audit methods in selected company Heineken Slovensko a.s., where the activity of internal audit is on a high quality level. Heineken Slovensko a.s. is a stable and well-performing company, which has kept its position on the market even during the economic crisis and proper operating internal audit is supporting this fact, with no small degree. We can see the work contribution for the praxis in the internal audit of this company and we emphasize the meaning of internal audit at the same time. This work should also be a recommendation for companies, which have not appreciated the internal audit on proper level, yet.

Abstract:

Interný audit je dôležitým preventívnym a samoregulačným prostriedkom každej spoločnosti. Samozrejme, snahou každej spoločnosti je jej prosperita. Práve využitie interného auditu pre prosperitu firmy je cesta, ktorou sa uberajú riadiaci pracovníci najmä väčších firiem. V súčasnej dobe význam využitia interného auditu ešte vzrastá. Cieľom práce je prezentovať interný audit, jeho organizačnú štruktúru, hlavné ciele činnosti, metódy a spôsoby využívané internými audítormi vo firme, ktorá je úspešná na našom aj zahraničnom trhu a zároveň poukázať na to, že interný audit je spätnou väzbou zvyšovania riadenia. Prínos práce vidíme v analýze spôsobov interného auditu vo vybranej spoločnosti Heineken Slovensko a.s., kde činnosť interného auditu je na vysokej kvalitatívnej úrovni. Spoločnosť Heineken Slovensko a.s. je stabilná a prosperujúca firma, ktorá si svoju pozíciu na trhu udržala aj v čase hospodárskej krízy a nemalou mierou k tomu prispieva aj kvalitne fungujúci interný audit. V analýze interného auditu tejto spoločnosti vidíme prínos práce pre prax a zároveň sa snažíme vyzdvihnúť význam interného auditu. Táto práca by mala byť zároveň aj odporúčaním pre spoločnosti, ktoré doteraz činnosť interného auditu nedocenili.
