Abstract:

Hlavním cílem disertační práce je popsat a zjistit, jak se mění styly učení při výuce v e-learningovém kurzu oproti klasické výuce za přítomnosti učitele a dále srovnat výsledky s podobnými studiemi. Zajímají nás názory účastníků e-learningových kurzů, jak vnímají proces učení, jak postupují při práci v e-learningovém kurzu, jak na ně působí design kurzu, čím jsou ovlivňováni při práci v e-learningovém kurzu oproti běžné výuce za přítomnosti učitele a jaké využívají komunikační a zpětnovazební prostředky. Teoretická část práce se zabývá e-learningem, jeho historií, formami, evaluací, výhodami a nevýhodami. Následující kapitola popisuje výzkum v oblasti stylů učení, zejména aplikovaných v oblasti elektronického prostředí. Z mnoha nástrojů popisující studijní styl jsme vybrali Vermuntův dotazník ILS (Inventory of Learning Styles), který je určen primárně pro vysokoškolské studenty. Praktická část je věnována šetření stylů učení (popsaných jako změny proměnných dotazníku ILS) v konkrétním e-learningovém kurzu. Zde jsou v úvodu specifikovány cíle, výzkumné otázky a hypotézy s metodologií prováděného výzkumu. Celá práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Jedna část je věnována kvantitativnímu (dotazníkovému) šetření, druhá část pak kvalitativnímu šetření vedeného formou řízeného rozhovoru. Výsledky jsou porovnávány s ostatními studiemi podobného zaměření. Výzkum identifikoval v experimentální skupině změny skóre u následujících proměnných: Kritická aktivita a nezávislost, Autoregulace průběhu a výsledku učení, Vnější regulace průběhu učení, Získání diplomu a Kooperování. U klasického způsobu výuky konstatujeme stejný počet změn u sledovaných proměnných: Vnější regulace průběhu učení, Vnější regulace výsledků učení, Absence řízení vedoucí k problémům, Získání diplomu a Kooperování. U obou skupin nastala změna u 5 proměnných (i když odlišných). Míra změny byla ovšem výraznější u experimentální skupiny. Faktorová analýza identifikovala faktory shodné s originální studií Vermunta a jeho definicí učebních stylů. Ve výsledcích kvalitativní části konstatujeme zjištění a především nedostatky při výuce pomocí e-learningových kurzů a to z pohledu studentů, vyučujících a tvůrců kurzů. Kapitoly Shrnutí a Závěry dávají výsledky do širších souvislosti a aspektů studia na vysoké škole. V přílohách lze nalézt ukázky e-learningového kurzu, použitý dotazník, vybrané tabulky ze statistického vyhodnocení, strategické dokumenty, ve kterých je e-learning zmiňován a slovníček použitých pojmů a zkratek z oblasti e-learningu.

Abstract:

The main goal of the thesis is to describe and determine how learning styles are changed when teaching is realized through e-learning courses compared to traditional lessons with a teacher and to compare the results with similar studies. We are interested in opinions of e-learning courses participants - how they perceive the process of learning, how they structure their work during e-learning courses, how the course design affects them, what they are influenced by when working in e-learning courses compared to traditional lessons and what communication and feedback resources they use. Theoretical part deals with e-learning, its history, forms, evaluations, the advantages and disadvantages. The following chapter describes the research on learning styles, especially those applied in the area of electronic environment. We selected Vermunt’s questionnaire ILS (Inventory of Learning Styles) from the many instruments describing learning style, a questionnaire designed primarily for university students. Practical part is focused on the research of learning styles (described as a change of variables of ILS questionnaire) in a particular e-learning course. The introduction specifies aims, research questions and hypotheses together with the research methodology. The whole thesis is divided into two parts. One part is devoted to a quantitative (questionnaire) research, the second part to a qualitative research through a directed interview. The results are compared with other studies of similar focus. Changes of scores in the following variables were identified in an experimental group: critical processing and independence, self-regulation of learning process and results, external regulation of learning process, certificate oriented and co-operative learning. In a classical teaching method we observe these variable changes: external regulation of learning process, external regulation of learning results, lack of regulation, certificate oriented and co-operative learning. Five variables changed in both groups, although these variables were not identical. The rate of change was more pronounced in the experimental group. The factor analysis identified factors consistent with the original Vermunt’s study and his definition of learning styles. In the results of the qualitative research we state the findings and especially deficiencies of teaching through e-learning courses from the perspective of students, teachers and course authors. The chapters Summary and Conclusions put the results in a broader context and aspects of university studies. The appendix contains examples of e-learning courses, the used questionnaire, selected tables from statistical data evaluation, strategic documents in which e-learning is mentioned and glossary of terms and abbreviations from the area of e-learning.
