Evaluation of the quality of life in elderly on haemodialysis and after transplantation

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the comparison the quality of life in patients after renal transplantation and patients included in the long-term dialysis program. The aim of this work is to analyze and compare quality of life in patients over 65 who are included in the chronic dialysis program at the FNO Ostrava dialysis center and patients over 65 years old who have undergone kidney transplantation and are monitored in the nephrology clinics of FNO Ostrava. Compare and evaluate subjective patient satisfaction with the quality of their lives. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part, the theoretical is focused on the characterization and approach of the problem of terminal kidney disease. The work also deals with the contemporary understanding of the quality of life before transplantation and the quality of life after kidney transplantation in older patients. In the practical part, the information obtained by the questionnaire is processed and analyzed. The results provide a preview of subjective perception of the quality of life before and after renal transplantation by respondents aged 65 years.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá porovnávaním kvality života u pacientov po transplantácii obličiek a pacientov zaradených do dlhodobého dialyzačného programu. Cieľom práce je analyzovať a porovnať kvalitu života u pacientov nad 65 rokov, ktorí sú zaradení v chronickom dialyzačnom programe na dialyzačnom stredisku FNO Ostrava a pacientov nad 65 rokov, ktorí podstúpili transplantáciu obličiek a sú sledovaní v nefrologických ambulanciách FNO Ostrava. Porovnať a zhodnotiť subjektívnu spokojnosť pacientov s kvalitou ich života. Práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú časť, teoretická je zameraná na charakteristiku a priblíženie problematiky terminálneho ochorenia obličiek. Práca sa tiež zaoberá súčasným poňatím kvality života pred transplantáciou a kvality života po transplantácii obličiek u pacientov vyššieho veku. V praktickej časti sú spracované a analyzované informácie získané dotazníkovým šetrením. Výsledky poskytujú náhľad na subjektívne vnímanie kvality života pred a po transplantácii obličiek respondentmi vo veku od 65 rokov.
