The main topic of the Thesis are instruments of collateral, which allow banks to pursue claim against the debtor or a third party and obtain reimbursement of credit or interest receivable. The aim of this work is theoretical treatment of problems of collaterals (guarantees) to business loans and evaluate the most appropriate types of collateral in terms of the bank and the client. Bakalárska práca sa venuje nástrojom zabezpečenia úveru, ktoré umožňujú bankám uplatniť nároky voči dlžníkovi, alebo tretej osobe a dosiahnuť náhradu úverovej alebo úrokovej pohľadávky. Cieľom práce je teoretické spracovanie problematiky zabezpečenia (záruky) pri podnikateľských úveroch a vyhodnotenie najvhodnejších typov zabezpečení z hľadiska banky a klienta.
