Assessment of growth increments and slaughter value of Hyla broiler rabbits under small-scale breeding conditions

Abstract:

Literární část bakalářské práce byla zaměřena na historii, význam chovu králíků a rozdělení plemen králíků do jednotlivých kategorií. Další část se zabývala charakteristice králíka domácího se zaměřením na stavbu těla. Byly také popsány vlastnosti králičího masa, charakteristika a šlechtění brojlerového králíka. Poslední část byla věnována užitkovým vlastnostem králíka a typy ustájení. V praktické části byly hodnoceny užitkové vlastnosti brojlerového králíka Hyla v drobnochovu. Do experimentu byly zařazeny dvě desetičlenné skupiny obou pohlaví. Pokusní králíci byli od 60. dne života do porážky (135. den) pravidelně váženi po 14denních inter-valech. Největší přírůstek u obou skupin byl zaznamenán v 90.-105. dnu výkrmu, kdy průměrně skupina samic přibyla o 466 g a skupina samců o 429 g. Po porážce byly zhodnoceny výsledky jatečné výtěžnosti a hmotnosti jatečně upraveného těla včetně vybraných vnitřních orgánů. Porážková hmotnost samic Hyla dosahovala hodnoty 3631 g, jatečná výtěžnost 62,1 %. Průměrná hmotnost před porážkou u samců byla 3544 g a jatečná výtěžnost 60,5 %.

Abstract:

The literary part of the bachelor thesis focused on the history, significance of rabbit breeding, and classification of rabbit breeds into various categories. Another section addressed the characteristics of domestic rabbits, with a focus on body structure. It also described the properties of rabbit meat, characteristics, and breeding of broiler rabbits. The final part addressed the utility properties of rabbits and types of housing. In the practical part, the utility properties of broiler rabbits of the Hyla breed in small- scale breeding were evaluated. Two groups of ten rabbits of both sexes were included in the experiment. Experimental rabbits were weighed regularly every 14 days from the 60th day of life until slaughter (day 135). The greatest weight gain for both groups was recorded between days 90 and 105 of the fattening period, with females averaging a gain of 466 g and males 429 g. After slaughter, the results of carcass yield and the weight of the dressed carcass, including selected internal organs, were evaluated. The slaughter weight of Hyla females reached 3631 g, with a carcass yield of 62.1%. The average weight before slaughter for males was 3544 g, with a carcass yield of 60.5%.
