The Preparation and the Characterization of the Polymer Gels for the Treatment of the Inflammation of the Oral Cavity

Abstract:

Úkolem bakalářské práce bylo připravit a charakterizovat polymerní gely pro léčbu zánětů dutiny ústní. V teoretické části byla popsána anatomie dutiny ústní, její nejčastější záněty a onemocnění. Dále byly uvedeny přípravky na prevenci a léčbu zánětů a onemocnění v dutině ústní. Byly popsány rozdíly mezi přírodními a syntetickými orálními a dentálními gely dostupnými na českém trhu. Dále bylo uvedeno složení a jednotlivý popis složek, ze kterých byly léčebné gely zhotoveny. V experimentální části byly zhotoveny dentální polymerní gely s antibakteriálními a hojivými účinky z přírodních materiálů. Následně byla provedena charakterizace jednotlivých složek a připravených dentálních gelů pomoci FT-IR spektroskopie, která patří mezi významné metody k identifikaci a charakterizaci materiálů.

Abstract:

The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to prepare and to characterize the polymer gels for the treatment of oral cavity inflammation. The theoretical part describes an anatomy of the oral cavity, its most common infections and diseases. Further, there are described preparations for the prevention and the treatment of inflammation and diseases in the oral cavity. There were described differences between natural and synthetic oral and dental gels available at the Czech market. Next, there were stated components, and their composition in the prepared medical gels. In the practical part, the dental polymeric gels with antibacterial and healing effects were made from natural materials. Subsequently, a characterization of the individual components and a prepared oral gels was made by FT-IR spectroscopy, which belongs to important methods used for an identification and characterization of materials.
