Wood finishing of furniture parts performed on the curing UV tunnel MINITERM

Abstract:

Předmětem této práce je ověření vlivu technologických parametrů UV vytvrzovacího strojního zařízení (MINTERM UV) na kvalitu povrchové úpravy nábytkových dílců. V teoretické části jsou popsány nejen požadavky na povrchovou úpravu, ale i faktory, které kvalitu povrchové úpravy mohou ovlivňovat. Dále jsou zde uvedeny způsoby nanášení nátěrových hmot, zejména pak způsoby vhodné pro aplikaci UV zářením vytvrzujících nátěrových systémů. Experimentální část práce je orientována na ověření technologických parametrů UV vytvrzujícího strojního zařízení (rychlost posuvu dopravního pásu, intenzita záření UV lamp) na kvalitu povrchové úpravy nábytkových dílců. Jako podkladový materiál byla zvolena masivní spárovka vyrobená ze čtyř typů tuzemských dřevin (SM, MD, BK, DB), která byla obroušena brusným papírem o zrnitosti č. 150. Uvedené podkladové materiály byly následně dokončeny transparentními UV vytvrzujícími nátěrovými hmotami, ve dvou různých variantách. Při technologické operaci vytvrzování nátěrových filmů zkušebních vzorků byly použity tři různé kombinace technologických parametrů strojního zařízení. Dokončené zkušební vzorky byly po dobu 1 měsíce klimatizovány v laboratorních podmínkách (teplota: 23 °C, rel. vlhkost vzduchu: 50 %) a následně byly podrobeny kvalitativními ověření z pohledu fyzikálně-mechanických a chemických odolností dokončených povrchů.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to verify the influence of technological parameters of UV-curing machinery (MINTERM UV) on the quality of surface treatment of furniture parts. The theoretical part describes not only the requirements for surface treatment, but also the factors that can affect the quality of surface treatment. There are also methods of coating material application, especially methods suitable for the application of UV curable coating systems. The experimental part of the work is focused on the verification of technological parameters of UV curing machinery (conveyor belt speed, intensity of UV lamp radiation) on the quality of surface treatment of furniture parts. As the background material, a solid battenboard made of four types of domestic wood species (SM, MD, BK, DB) was chosen, which was sanded with sandpaper with a grain size of No. 150. These background materials were then finished with transparent UV curing coating materials, in two different variants. Three different combinations of technological parameters of machinery were used in the technological operation of curing coating films of test specimens. The completed test specimens were conditioned in laboratory conditions (temperature: 23°C, relative air humidity: 50%) for 1 month and subsequently subjected to qualitative verifications in terms of physical-mechanical and chemical resistance of the finished surfaces.
