Friedrich Nietzsche and his critique of Christianity and religion

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je představit a podrobit analýze tu část Nietzscheho filosofie, která se týká náboženství a křesťanství. S touto otázkou rovněž úzce souvisí problém morálky, smrti boha, nihilismu a v neposlední řadě také téma nadčlověka, o kterých bude též pojednáno. Tato práce by měla nastínit Nietzscheho postoj k náboženství, který se jeví jako jednostranný, útočný a agresivní, a pokusit se zdůvodnit, proč bylo právě křesťanství tím důvodem, který jej vedl k rozporuplnému a tolik diskutovanému postoji. Pokusíme se zjistit, jaké skutečnosti stály za tím, že přestože vyrůstal ve věřící rodině, víru zavrhl a choval k ní zřejmou nenávist. Přestože toto téma bylo již několikrát rozebráno, objevují se stále nové úhly pohledu a proto si tato práce klade za cíl vytvořit ucelený pohled na danou problematiku a pokusit se o nový úhel pohledu.

Abstract:

The objective of this thesis is to present and analyse the part of Nietzsche's philosophy, that deals with the criticism of religion and Christianity. The problem of morality, death of God, nihilism and the Super-human theme, also related to this question, will also be discussed. This thesis should describe Nietzsche's attitude towards religion that appears as bias, offensive and aggressive and should try to justify why Christianity was the reason that led him towards a much debated, contradictory attitude. We will try to find out which factors were responsible for his rejection of, and obvious hatred towards faith, despite the fact that he grew up in a religious family. Although this theme has been discussed several times already, there are new perspectives still emerging, and therefore this thesis aims to create a comprehensive overview and tries to find a new point of view.
