Práce se zabývá železniční dopravou a jejím postavením na trhu nákladní přepravy. V evropském měřítku bude rozebrán vývoj přepravních výkonů nákladní dopravy na železnici spolu s analýzou změn evropského dopravního trhu a jeho současné podoby.
