Use of Dactyloscopy to Identify Foreign Nataionals in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává v teoretické části o historii daktyloskopie, používaných přístrojích policií na území České republiky a základních pojmech vědního oboru daktyloskopie. V první praktické části práce jsou uvedeny názorné příklady využití daktyloskopie na území České republiky v souvislosti se ztotožňováním cizinců a dále možnosti využití daktyloskopie v mezinárodním měřítku. V poslední části práce pak je uveden praktický výzkum formou řízených rozhovorů pracovníků stanic AFIS s komentářem autora.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of this thesis provide a reader with the information on a history dactyloscopy, technology used by the Police within the territory of the Czech Republic and basic terminology related to the science of dactyloscopy. The illustrative examples in which dactyloscopy is used in order to identify foreign nationals in the Czech Republic together with the opportunities of its use in international cooperation are subject of the first practical part of this thesis. The last part of the thesis is devoted to practical research conducted form the interviews with the AFIS workstation operators and accompanied by the author´s comments.
