Web services and their use in the Information System of the Cadastre of Real Estate of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na webové služby, které využívá Informační systém katastru nemovitostí České republiky (ISKN) pro komunikaci s jinými informačními systémy a aplikacemi. Hlavním cílem práce je provést analýzu využití vybraných webových služeb vystavovaných systémem ISKN v praxi a navrhnout konkrétní řešení na vylepšení některých z nich. Návrh řešení na vylepšení vychází z analýzy služeb, která odhaluje současné problémy, s nimiž se potýkají jejich uživatelé v praxi. Dalším cílem je představení webových služeb, které vystavuje a konzumuje systém ISKN při komunikaci s jinými informačními systémy nebo aplikacemi. V práci se uvádí kategorizovaný seznam těchto služeb a popisují se jejich základní charakteristiky. Práce je rozdělena na několik částí. První část je věnována principům servisně orientované architektury (SOA), webovým službám a jejich technologiím. V následující části práce probíhá seznámení se systémem ISKN a dalšími informačními systémy a aplikacemi, se kterými systém ISKN komunikuje. Další kapitoly se zaměřují na webové služby, jež vystavuje a využívá systém ISKN pro komunikaci s jinými systémy. Po jejich představení se provádí analýza vybraných webových služeb, která je prezentována formou uvedení několika ukázkových příkladů jejich využití v praxi. Tyto příklady odhalují současný problém, jehož řešení se navrhuje v poslední části této práce.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on web services, which is used by the Information System of the Cadastre of Real Estate of the Czech Republic (ISKN) for communication with other information systems and applications. The main aim of this work is to analyze the use of selected web services issued by the ISKN system in practice and propose specific solution to improve some of them. The design of the improvement solution is based on a service analysis that reveals the current problems faced by their users. Another goal is to introduce web services that ISKN exposes and consumes when communicating with other information systems or applications. The work contains a categorized list of these services and describes their basic characteristics. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is devoted to the principles of service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services and their technologies. In the following part of the thesis, the ISKN system and other information systems and applications with which the ISKN system communicates are introduced. The next chapters focus on web services that ISKN exposes and uses to communicate with other systems. After their presentation, an analysis of selected web services is performed, which is presented in the form of introducing some examples of their use in practice. These examples reveal the current problem, the solution of which is proposed in the last part of this work.
