Automated testing of the satellite ground station

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice satelitní komunikace a návrhu jednoduchého hardwaru pro testování pozemní stanice. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první části práce je popsána problematika satelitní komunikace, jako jsou orbitální dráhy, frekvenční spektrum a ztráty. Vysvětlena je i teoretická analýza rádiového spoje, technické požadavky na pozemní stanici a důležité parametry pro testování rádiové stanice pomocí navrhovaného hardwaru. V druhé části práce je rozebrána samotná realizace a testování navrhovaného hardwaru. Zde jsou popsány možnosti jeho zapojení a díky němu uskutečněné experimenty.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is occupied with the issue of satellite communication and with a simple hardware design for testing a ground station. The thesis is divided into two parts. The satellite communication issues are described in the first part of the thesis such as orbital track, frequency spectrum and losses. A theoretical analysis of the radio contact, technical requirements on the ground station and important parameters for testing the radio communication using the designed hardware are explained in this part. In the second part of the thesis, the implementation and testing of the designed hardware are analysed. Here are described options of its connecting and executed experiments thanks to it.
