Immigration Policy in Britain Since 1962
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the immigration policy in Great Britain with a focus on the development after the Commonwealth Immigrants Act of 1962 and on the restrictive legislation on immigration in the 1960s and 1970s. It analyses the controversies around the issue of immigration and evaluates the role of the government in regulating the influx.
